Local tapas and wine tour of Porto
Experience the food and city like a local and enjoy the local food and wine of Porto with us while we show you around Porto. We will start by tasting some local craft wine and local cheeses and meats before we head off exploring the cobbled streets of Porto to take in the local atmosphere. We'll also tell you some interesting stories about Porto along the way!
We will visit a simple Portuguese restaurant where the locals eat and sample the traditional food known as 'petiscos' – small dishes like tapas. You'll be able to try fish (bacalhau), traditional meat specialties and a glass of wine or beer. We will then go on a walk down the narrow streets towards the Douro river and stop off for wine and more tapas as we go. You see some corners of Porto you wouldn't otherwise find and enjoy our local tapas and wine tour of Porto.

I am beer lover, designer and entrepreneur. Porto is already famous for food and is also now a mini-hub for micro breweries, so the perfect place for a beer and food enthusiast! I developed a passion for beer in Prague where we set up a business importing Czech beer.
I am a beer enthusiast, artist and entertainer. I worked as a corporate entertainer in London for 15 years for clients such as Heineken, BBC, Ferrari, Gucci, Moody’s.
I have a passion for beer, I am actually from Pilsen famous for Pilsner Urquell and grew up in my family pub.

Had a fantastic tour of Porto with my family with Caroline from Eat Walk Porto. What a lovely lady! Very knowledgeable in the local area and knows some great historical info that we all found very interesting. As a resident in Porto, Caroline knew all the best places to eat and we enjoyed some amazing food at a cute restaurant down by the Douro river. Porto is great, we fell in love with the place, it's really beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a tour with Eat Walk Porto, give them a try, you'll certainly see the best of the city. Don't wander aimlessly as you could miss out!!
Fabulous two tours of this beautiful city with Caroline. She was a fantastic guide and this was a great start to our short break. These are perfect to go on at the beginning of your holiday as they give you an informative insight a to what you can plan to see and do to experience the beauty and history of the area
Lucky enough to go on both tours with Caroline a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who really brought the history of Porto to life. Beautiful hotel to taste port wine. First class eating with view over river and roof top just stunning. Ended at 5* hotel with coffee and pastel de nata - wow.
I had two fantastic tours with Caroline. I had the day tour first that started at 11.30 and saw the magnificent City of Porto. I didn't realise how beautiful it is and how much history it has. Caroline was knowledgeable about the city and told some good stories. I tasted some of the local food and drink. The evening tour was also great and again I saw a different side with equally stunning views.
A quick explanation to Caroline of what I wanted from a tour of Porto and we were off. Basically, I wanted to take photos, and Caroline knew all the best places for views over Porto and the Douro and was well informed about the history of the city and its buildings. Throw in a coffee house here, a vegan nata (Portuguese pastry) there, a white Porto at Sanderman while watching the world go by, and an excellent meal at Arvore do Mundo (vegan) and the day could not have been more perfect.
Going on either one of this tours is already a great eye-opener to see what Porto has to offer and learn all about the history and culture of the Portuguese. I quite enjoyed the white Port at Sandeman’s, as it is on the other side, in Gaia it has a great view of Porto itself. The evening tour is great, I really enjoyed the cod fish I had, but what I most enjoyed was the view from on the hotel's rooftop.
